Resources
Giving the most alienated or fragile a sense of self and a way to accomplish their goals is morally and ethically the least that can be expected from a parent, teacher, coach or other educators( ie administrators, learning specialists, psychologists etc.)Below are listed some excellent resources to save time finding, knowledgeable, ethical, well research materials to consult when looking for information. ( Note comments on particular strengths of some of the resources when addressing specific topics)
When schools say rules are rules and standards must be maintained— those young people who could not follow those rules or meet the standards set must take the consequences or pay the price—- no exceptions—it would not be fair—my answer must be that there are only exceptions and the rules ( although necessary) are only necessary to give gentle boundaries within which all the exceptions will learn to exist cooperatively.
